It's unfortunate you've chosen such busy experts, ... The trial ended July 18, and we've waited two months for you to agree on a trial date. And now you're talking about a much further delay.

The bottom line is, ... we're spending too much money on local government and not enough on our taxpayers.

Consolidation hasn't been big in New York State. We could be pioneers here. . . . Most of the government structure in New York State was set up when people traveled in horse and buggies. But in this day and age, we don't need two town halls when one can do the job more efficiently.

You have to be selective about regionalism. Our court system seemed a perfectly logical place to start. And I believe it's working very well.

We will do whatever it takes to make the contract fair.
